In late 2024 Rebekah Demirel made a long time dream come true, creating the Radiance Revival Choir, a noon-time, welcoming and open community choir for all voices. Rebekah says, “This is the place to come if you think you can’t sing. You will be welcomed and supported to enjoy making harmony with your voice!”
She’s a graduate of the Community Choir Leadership Training program, https://www.communitychoirleadership.com , where budding choir directors learn, what Rebekah calls, “the magic” of holding songs in three and four part harmony and teaching them by ear with call and response that makes it fun and easy to learn.”
Rebekah proudly tells new members that she developed RRC in honour of founder and long time director of the Getting Higher Choir, Siobhan Robinsong with co-director Denis Donney (now led by Cathy Baker and Dick Jackson) and Siobhan’s own project, The High Noon Choir, a fun community choir Siobhan led for many years on Tuesday’s at noon at the Church of Truth, the time and place where Rebekah now leads Radiance Revival Choir, with many folks who sang with Siobhan returning to sing there again!
